Just saw an Autism don’t judge what you don’t understand shirt that said “see the able not the label” and it really hit home. As teachers, parents, and humans in general we tend to label students and children so quickly. The first thing we ask is what’s wrong with them or why are they acting that way? Yes, it’s important to ensure they receive the right care but I believe so many kids are held back because of their label. This isn’t just coming from my teacher mind. As a person I want to start seeing kids, and people in general for their able and not their label. I want to Encourage and help, not judge and hold back.

One of our seniors Kira Harvey good friend has autism had has excelled at BHS!! Please everyone, love, respect and try to understand
Today for Reading Month at school was wear a shirt that everyone can read. Last week when I found this shirt I could not believe how perfect it is for Mason. If you know him well you know he LOVES his electronics and is very good at them. All too often though he is shut down but not having the password unless he cracks it (true statement)
